Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli inspected the newly developed Al Salam bus station during his tour of the first phase of the trial operation of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project on the Ring Road. This visit highlights the government’s ongoing efforts to improve transportation infrastructure in Cairo.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during the visit, Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber provided an overview of the launch of the multi-story bus stop. The Al Salam station has commenced receiving passengers as part of its gradual operation. It is now considered one of the largest stations in Cairo, strategically located at the entrance of Al Salam City, adjacent to the Ring Road.

The governor explained that the Al Salam parking lot, constructed by the National Roads Company, consists of three floors and has the capacity to accommodate 2,500 vehicles. It serves approximately 39 regional transport lines and 18 local lines within the governorate. Additionally, the station includes 254 commercial sh
ops, enhancing its utility for passengers and visitors.

Governor Saber also noted that the Cairo Governorate has undertaken efforts to enhance the surrounding area by clearing Al-Sadat Square of street vendors and improving the environment with painting, lighting, and paving work. These developments are part of broader initiatives to modernize transportation facilities and improve urban infrastructure in the city.
