Beheira: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli visited the ‘Bahrawia Workshop’ in Zawiyat Saqr, Abu Matamir, as part of the ‘Decent Life’ initiative. The visit aimed to support and boost the empowerment of rural women through skill development and economic opportunities.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the workshop is a collaboration between the Beheira governorate and the National Council for Women. It provides training in various crafts such as sewing, pattern-making, copper work, fabric painting, ceramics, and model crafting. Beheira Governor, Jacqueline Azer, highlighted that each workshop can accommodate 15 participants and also offers sessions on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and family guidance.
Trainees expressed their appreciation for the training programs, noting that the skills acquired would significantly enhance their income and living standards. During his visit, Prime Minister Madbouli emphasized the importance of distributing the workshop-produced goods across Egypt and expan
ding online sales channels to increase product reach and market presence.
