Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly delivered a speech this morning during his participation in the inauguration of the International Academy of Architecture and Urbanism (IAAU), held at its headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. The event underscored Egypt's commitment to advancing its education sector across various levels, viewing education as a pivotal investment in the nation's future.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Prime Minister highlighted that the establishment of the IAAU is a significant step in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives. The academy aims to position Egypt as a regional and global hub for knowledge and innovation in architecture and urban planning, building on the success of major national projects.

The IAAU is not merely an educational institution; rather, it serves as an international scientific platform. It seeks to merge theoretical knowledge with practical experience while embracing global expertise to foster sustainable urban development that aligns with Egypt's Vision 2030, which emphasizes advanced education and sustainable urban growth.

Madbouly pointed out Egypt's considerable achievements in urban development, highlighted by projects like the New Administrative Capital and New Alamein City. These initiatives exemplify smart, sustainable city models and aim to preserve Egypt's architectural heritage while improving citizens' quality of life through social housing and the development of unsafe areas.

The launch of the IAAU aligns with the "National Narrative for Economic Development," which focuses on growth, employment, and attracting investments through supportive urban infrastructure. The academy is envisioned as a hub for scientific and creative dialogue, fostering partnerships with international universities and the private sector.

Strategic partnerships have been announced with the ‚¬°cole Nationale Sup©rieure d'Architecture de Grenoble in France, Sapienza University in Italy, and the International Institute for Housing and Urban Studies in the Netherlands. These collaborations aim to facilitate knowledge transfer, encourage academic exchanges, and promote joint research projects, thereby enhancing Egypt's international educational and research standing.

The IAAU aspires to be a global scientific beacon that embodies Egypt's historical and cultural legacy while integrating global expertise.

In conclusion, the Prime Minister emphasized that the IAAU represents a blend of Egyptian heritage and international expertise, poised to contribute to a sustainable and prosperous future for upcoming generations.
