PM Briefed on Arrangements for Grand Egyptian Museum Opening Ceremony


Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli convened a meeting to follow up on underway logistic arrangements for the inauguration ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). The meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, Assistant Foreign Minister for Cultural Relations Yasser Shaaban, and United Media Services Company (UMS) Chairman Tarek Nour.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting falls within the framework of the ongoing follow-up on logistic arrangements and preparations for the opening ceremony of the museum. This aligns with directives from the political leadership to closely monitor all preparations for receiving official delegations and guests who will attend the official opening ceremony of the world gem.

The meeting addressed the logistic procedures of the celebration, including sending invitations to monarchs, presidents, and dignitaries. It also reviewed the agenda of the three-day event, according to Cabinet Spokesma
n Mohamed el Homosany.

The discussions included arrival and departure procedures at airports, accommodation, and transportation to the venue of the event. The spokesman added that lists of high-level guests were also reviewed.
