Cairo: Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad emphasized the need for intensified joint action among the three production parties-governments, employers, and workers-to address the escalating challenges affecting economic and social conditions in Arab countries. This call to action was made during the 104th session of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization in Cairo.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Raddad highlighted the exceptional circumstances currently facing the Arab region, including regional developments and military escalations that threaten stability and adversely impact inflation rates, employment opportunities, and production activity. He urged for a unified Arab stance in international forums and strengthened joint coordination.
Raddad also underscored the importance of social dialogue among the three production parties, advocating for practical and innovative solutions to mitigate the impacts of crises. He emphasized support for sustainable development initiatives and discussed the draft plan and budget for 2027-2028, which aims to set priorities for future Arab actions.
The minister stressed the significance of shaping the future of work within the framework of the ‘Arab Vision 2045,’ ensuring decent job opportunities and promoting human development. He commended the efforts of the organization’s Director-General Fayez Al Mutairi in supporting the Arab Labor Organization at both regional and international levels.
Raddad reiterated his support for the rights of Palestinian workers and people, advocating for respect for international law and calling for an end to attacks on civilians. He emphasized the need for preserving state sovereignty and achieving a just and lasting peace as a strategic option for regional stability.
