Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates' Affairs Badr Abdelatty met on Saturday 20/9/2025 with Amal Ammar, President of the National Council for Women (NCW), to discuss ongoing efforts to support women's rights and empowerment across all sectors.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions centered around the 2030 National Strategy for Women's Empowerment and its implementation. The minister was briefed on various initiatives and programs led by the council to bolster women's rights and their active participation in society.
Both parties emphasized the importance of continued cooperation to showcase Egypt's efforts on women's issues in international forums. Abdelatty expressed appreciation for the Council's active involvement at regional and global levels, underlining the state's commitment to women's rights. This commitment is reflected in Egypt's National Human Rights Strategy, which includes a dedicated pillar for women's rights.
