Doha: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty on Friday 5/12/2025 met with members of the Egyptian expat community in Qatar at the start of his current visit to participate in the Doha Forum. The meeting took place as part of the minister’s keenness to listen to expats’ views and suggestions for improving the services provided to them and strengthening bonds with their homeland, said Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Spokesman Tamim Khallaf. During an interactive discussion with the Egyptian expats, Abdelatty emphasized the ministry’s commitment to facilitating their access to various consular services and intensify communication with Egyptians living abroad.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty also underlined the ministry’s keenness to provide Egyptian expats with the utmost care, asserting the State’s appreciation for the important role played by Egyptian expats in Qatar as honorable representatives of their country and key supporters of the national economy. The meeting covered a raft of topics related to expats’ conditions and needs. The minister also reviewed the State’s efforts to launch a wide range of initiatives to serve Egyptians abroad, including housing, investment, educational, and financial initiatives.
