Minister of State for Emigration Soha El Gendy received United Nations Resident Coordinator in Egypt Elena Panova, to enhance means of cooperation and exchange experiences in several fields. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Mohamed Khairat, Assistant Minister of Emigration for International Cooperation.
At the beginning of the meeting, Gendi welcomed Elena Banova and praised the close relations between Egypt and the United Nations at various levels.
The meeting dealt with the recent issues of joint cooperation with the United Nations, especially in the field of migration, as the ministry believes that the migration file is linked to the development file. Therefore, the ministry intends to expand the presidential initiative “lifeboats.”
