Budapest: Egyptian ambassador to Hungary Ahmed Fahmy emphasized the significance of enhancing security cooperation between Egypt and Hungary.
According to State Information Service Egypt, during a meeting with Hungarian Interior Minister Sándor Pintér, the focus was on discussing ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of security, combating terrorism, and illegal emigration. The meeting also addressed exchanging expertise in police training and border protection. The Egyptian diplomat highlighted Egypt’s achievements in combating terrorism and securing borders over the past years.
The Hungarian minister acknowledged Egypt’s pivotal role in achieving stability in the Middle East and North Africa region. He expressed Hungary’s aspiration to enhance cooperation with Egypt in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting is part of joint efforts to strengthen relations and strategic partnership between Egypt and Hungary, especially in light of international and regional security challenges.
