Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held a phone call with Ugandan Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Henry Oryem Okello to explore ways to enhance ties between Egypt and Uganda. The conversation focused on boosting cooperation and coordination on issues of mutual interest.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the ministers shared perspectives on advancing relations across various sectors, with particular emphasis on economic and investment cooperation. They also discussed technical and developmental projects, including those related to infrastructure and energy.
The discussion underscored the need to activate existing cooperation mechanisms to broaden the scope of bilateral relations. Abdelatty emphasized the importance of organizing the second round of joint political and technical consultations, involving both countries’ foreign and irrigation ministers. This initiative aims to strengthen cooperation and achieve shared interests sustainably.
Furthermore, Abdelatty highlighted the significance of building on the successful cooperation achieved in recent years and exploring new opportunities for partnership that would benefit the peoples of both nations. The ministers concluded their discussion by reaffirming their commitment to ongoing consultation and coordination.
