Egypt, Saudi Arabia mull boosting labour cooperation

Manpower Minister Hassan Shehata met Sunday with Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for the Labor Sector Abdullah Abu Thnunin.

The meeting mulled the situation of Egyptian laborers i in Saudi Arabia and the role of vocational training in qualifying the manpower to meet the needs of various markets.

Shehata hailed deeply-rooted relations linking the two countries.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 48th Arab Labor Conference (ALC) that kicked off in Cairo earlier in the day under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

This session, which will run until September 25, is chaired by Morocco.
