Cairo: Minister of Education Mohamed Abdel Latif met with Yemen’s Ambassador Khaled Mahfouz Bahah to discuss collaboration in pre-university education and leverage Egypt’s expertise in the field, a Cabinet statement said. Abdel Latif emphasized the strong foundation of trust and respect in the cooperative and friendly relationship between the two countries, aiming to enhance collaboration in all educational areas for mutual benefit.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Bahah confirmed Egypt’s crucial support for Yemen and expressed a desire to enhance cooperation in education and pedagogy to benefit students and share expertise between the two countries. The meeting focused on supporting education for Yemeni children in Egypt within Egyptian laws to maintain quality and provide exceptional services for students, according to the statement.
The discussion also included updating and developing the cooperation protocol for educational programmes to improve implementation and coordination between institutions in both countries. They discussed implementing cooperation programmes in technical education and vocational training to transfer Egypt’s expertise and prepare qualified Yemeni professionals for the labor market.
