Cairo: Civil Aviation Minister Sameh El-Hefny stated that his ministry aims to broaden the adoption of modern digital solutions across its various sectors, aligning with the State's digital transformation strategy. He emphasized the significance of investing in human capital as a fundamental element for sustainable growth and development.
According to State Information Service Egypt, El-Hefny's comments came during a meeting at the ministry's headquarters with a delegation from Microsoft, led by Naim Yazbeck, President of Microsoft for Middle East and Africa (MEA). Amr Nagaty, the ministry's permanent undersecretary, was also present. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in information technology and digital transformation.
The meeting included a review of an agreement between EgyptAir and Microsoft to implement artificial intelligence technologies aimed at improving the travel experience. This initiative supports the national carrier's transition towards advanced digital solutions, enhancing operational efficiency and upgrading passenger service quality.
Additionally, the meeting explored future collaboration opportunities, particularly in training and technical expertise transfer. This aims to qualify human resources in the civil aviation sector, keeping pace with the rapid developments in the air transport industry.
Microsoft delegation members expressed pride in their ongoing cooperation with the civil aviation sector. They confirmed the company's readiness to offer technical support and implement specialized training programs to strengthen institutional capacities and further develop the sector's operational system.
