Israeli forces seal off two northern entrances of Jericho city with metal gate, cement blocks

Israeli occupation forces this evening sealed off the two northern entrances to Jericho city with a metal gate and cement blocks, WAFA correspondent reported on security sources. Israeli forces erected a metal gate on the road leading to al-Maarajat to the west of Jericho, and placed cement blocks on the way to the village of al-Oja. Forces further blocked the city’s eastern entrance with cement blocks. To be noted, Israeli forces placed two metal gates on the southern entrance of the city on March 22. The city of Jericho has been under tight Israeli military siege for ten consecutive days, amid ongoing incursions into the nearby Aqabat Jaber refugee camp.

Several Palestinians suffocate by tear gas in Jenin-area confrontations

A number of Palestinians suffocated by tear gas fired at them by Israeli forces during confrontations that broke out this evening in the village of Rummanah, west of Jenin, in the north of the occupied West Bank, according to security sources. Sources told WAFA Israeli army stormed the said village and detained a young youth after raiding his family home, spurring clashes with residents. Forces attacked residents with stun grenades and tear gas canisters, causing several people to suffocate. They were treated at the scene. The village of Rummanah is subjected to almost daily Israeli military raids and the erection of flying checkpoints throughout its streets.

Young Palestinian youth shot in foot, dozens suffocate in Hebron-area confrontations

A young Palestinian youth was shot and injured in the foot and dozens of others suffocated during confrontations that erupted tonight in al-Arroub refugee camp, north of the southern occupied West Bank district of Hebron, according to WAFA correspondent. Confrontations broke out between Israeli forces and the defenseless Palestinian residents at the camp’s entrance, during which forces fired live ammunition, stun grenades, and tear gas canisters at the latter, shooting and injuring a 20-year-old youth in the foot. He was transferred to hospital for medical treatment. Dozens of others were treated at the scene from tear gas suffocation.
